Rango Movie Trailer
Rango: The unknown that became a HERO!

Well it’s the last blog for the quarter and though it’s a bit sad I must say I’m excited to take a break from school. Moving along, I know what you all really want to know…did I ever find that Halle Berry movie? Of course, I DIDN’T! And I’m so upset because I really wanted to blog about it and watch Halle perform, but I promise as soon as I find that movie I will most definitely blog about it. Fan of film HONOR!
Now, to get started on Rango, what I thought was going to be a funny and charming animated kid movie, turned out to be completely opposite! Shocking enough Rango came off as a film for a mature audience.
Rango scored an 8 out of 10 on my movie meter.
Johnny Depp’s character Rango is a household pet that goes on a wild adventure away from his sheltered life. During his adventure he learns that he has no real identity, and along the way an opportunity occurs for him to make up his own identity when he arrives at Dirt City. Dirt City is a city in drought full of other weird country animals trying to survive. In the heat of moment, he creates a persona as “tough guy” who once killed 7 bad guys with one bullet. Rango continues to live up to his bad boy image, promising to bring water back to the city; until he’s put on the spot and has to admit the truth about himself. Defeated he returns on his lonely journey to find himself, but then comes up with a plan. Rango realizes that it doesn’t matter where you come from or who you are, you can still be who you want to be.
Rango is a very entertaining animation that does have its boring moments at times. Johnny Depp does a good job bringing Rango to life and makes he character interesting. The plot of the story is a little complicated and may be hard for younger audiences to comprehend. Beyond that fact, I would recommend for families and movie lovers to see Rango!
Never Say Never 3D Trailer
Never Say Never: Pure Inspiration

After being sick for a week and being stuck in bed on bed rest, I was very excited to see my new movie for the weekend. I still searched and searched for Halle Berry’s new movie but still but of course I still came up short. So I decided to see a movie that would motivate me and keep my spirits up: Never Say Never 3D.
Never Say Never 3D scored a 7 out of 10 on my movie meter.
I really put this movie off, but seeing it this weekend couldn’t have been better timing. Never Say Never 3D is more than just documentary following teen sensation Justin Bieber day-to-day hectic life. This movie sends a message to everyone who watches it, which is: “To never give up and believe in your dreams.” Never Say Never 3D has footage of Bieber from day one, him as a baby beating on chairs and more footage of him as he progresses into a young man. It is crystal clear that he was born for the entertainment business. Bieber started his career through the internet. He had a YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter page and on all of them he would post footage of him playing instruments and singing; displaying his talent. By doing this he created a very strong fan base that would follow him to the end thus the creation of the phrase: “Bieber Fever”. Through his online pages he also caught the interest of Scooter Braun who is his manager today and went on to leave his native home Canada and come to the America to sing his songs on radio stations. Since then it has been history in the making, Bieber goes on to get signed to a record label and mentored by R&B sensation Usher. There are a few star appearances from Jaden Smith and Ludacris in support, but in my opinion the best appearance in the movie wasn’t a star at all. She was a young girl playing the violin on the same steps where Justin used to play before his fame. Justin told her to follow her dream and that to me was the most touching moment in the movie. Never Say Never 3D is a movie of motivation and inspires everyone to follow his or her dreams no matter how hard it may seem.
Now this movie does have its flaws such as being in 3D. I really don’t see the purpose because majority of the film is normal footage; the only time you get the 3D effect, which is limited is the concert footage. But other than that it really is an interesting movie to watch, seeing Justin Bieber’s come up. Even if you were not a fan I would recommend you to see this movie only to be inspired, just as I was.
Blogger DOWN!
This weekend has been terrible for me. I woke up with a chest cold on Thursday went to class and couldn’t function at all. I figured maybe I’m just a little over worked or maybe this is a cry for help for my body, but that so wasn’t the case. By Friday my temperature had risen to 110. Now normally I don’t do medicine, I can’t stand the taste or smell but I knew my temperature being at 110 was no game so I agreed to take medicine. I specifically asked for a pill form of medication but of course I had to take liquid, Robitussin to be exact. YUCK! I slept for hours and hours waking up in cold sweats and having to change my shirt because it was soaked in sweat. Just horrible! Saturday comes around and I’m still on a slow path of dying. So I agreed to go to the Emergency room. Now anyone who knows me knows I hate hospitals, so of course it took a lot of convincing and my mom yelling at through the phone to get me to go.
Upon arrival I immediately wanted to throw up. The smell of the hospital plus the sight of other sickly patients threw me for a spin. Luckily for me I didn’t have to wait too long in the waiting lounge I was seen pretty quickly. Normally patients are taken to their own private room, but not me of course. Instead I was placed on a hospital bed in the ER’s hallway. I say to my self “This just can’t be life right now!” I was so angry I didn’t know whether to walk out and go to another hospital or to just sit and wait on their next move. Well due to the fact that I was alone and had been dropped off I couldn’t just up and leave, so my first plan was a fail. As I waited patiently I watched other people who came in later than me get escorted to their private room while I lay on the ER bed in the hallway.
An hour passed and finally the doctor came and saw me. He asked what my symptoms were and I told him. Immediately he sent me up to the X Ray room to have pictures taken of my chest and after that I would have a to give a flu sample. The X Ray process wasn’t that bad, but the flu sample HOLY CRAP! Complete torture. To get the sample the nurse took a long Q-Tip suck it up my left nostril as far as he could go and twirled. He did twice in the same nostril and when I say that was worst feeling to feel when you already feel like crap that just really tops it off!
I waited an hour and half before someone came back to me and told me what was going on. The doctor said, “You tested negative for the flu, but your chest is a little inflamed so I believe you have bronchitis.” Of course I responded back with a blank stare. He then added, “I’m going to prescribe you an antibiotic and some meds to lower your fever and cough.” He walked away and about ten minutes later the nurse came back with my prescriptions and I was free to go. That experience reminded me just why I don’t like hospitals.
So I’m sorry I didn’t make my way over to the theatre to see a movie. I will be seeing a movie next weekend, picking up where I left off. Till then, avoid hospitals by any means necessary!
Just Go With It Trailer
Just Go With It: Pure Comedy!

As we all know ladies and gentlemen I’m on a search to find Halle Berry’s latest film Frankie and Alice, and I thought I found it, only problem was I wasn’t in NYC at 3pm Friday. Yeah, I was in the wrong state, but the movie theatre name was CORRECT! Guess that’s why teachers and professors always emphasize on paying attention to small discreet details because ultimately they turn out to be very big important ones. So my search continues and I promise, one day I will be blogging about Frankie and Alice.
Now this week for me, movie picking was a bit of a challenge. As we all know America’s favorite young star, Justin Bieber released his premier movie Never Say Never 3D the same day Adam Sandler released his movie Just Go With It. Not going to lie but, the fact that I would’ve had to wait till Sunday to see Never Say Never 3D due to it being sold out already 2 days in advance turned me off. I couldn’t believe that “movie” really sold out the way it did like seriously he’s 16 years old! His life can’t be that interesting; he hasn’t even lived long enough! So Just Go With It was my movie for weekend and boy was I pleased!
Just Go With It scored a 9 out of 10 on my movie meter.
Adam Sandler does it again! But I’m not shocked he always manages to create movies that leave you wanting more! The characters, storyline, and acting were superb in this movie. I was very much satisfied with the humor associated in this movie because it was equally split. In most movies that comedians play in all the good jokes tend to be said by them, but in this movie every character had a hilarious line and scene.
The storyline of the movie is very predictable but the acting is so good you kind of ignore the fact you know what’s about to happen because you’re waiting on the next joke. Adam Sandler plays Danny a successful plastic surgeon that wears a band on his finger to attract younger females. But when he meets the girl he’s been looking for he gets caught up in his lies and has to get his loyal assistant Katherine played by Jennifer Aniston to pretend to be his ex wife to prove he’s in the process of getting a divorce. As we progress in the movie more lies are told and more characters are brought into the picture leading to a weekend vacation in Hawaii. Nicole Kidman makes an appearance as Devlin Adams who is Katherine’s friend-enemy and will do anything to show she’s still the best. I like this side of Kidman seeing her play a character very different from all the others she’s acted.
Just Go With It is a funny and entertaining movie. You can go see this with a group of friends and everyone will be amused which is very rare now days. So go see Just Go With It, I’m sure the humor will have you laughing lie after lie!
The Birth Of Facebook

Interesting enough I wasn’t able to make my way over to the movie theatre this week only because I was searching for the new Halle Berry movie Frankie and Alice. Of course, I came up short but stay tuned in I will find where that movie is playing in Atlanta!
Back to the point at hand The Social Network.
On my movie meter The Social Network scored an 8 out of 10.
Who would of known the birth of Facebook would emerge from an angry college Harvard student venting on the web to cyberspace while drunk about his girlfriend, who broke up with him a few hours prior to him going on his gossip rampage.
David Fincher manages to pull off this story with two amazing feats in The Social Network. The first is that he has made a biopic that does not feel like a biopic. It is paced so well and shot with great precision that even if it were not based on a real story, it would have been a good film regardless. All the while Fincher allows the movie to flow so that the audience doesn’t really have a specific character they are rooting for. Kind of leaving you torn about who’s right and who’s wrong.
Well I’m going to be completely honest, I was 100% behind Mark Zuckerberg played by Jesse Eisenberg. I felt as if everyone was trying to ride his genius status. Yes, it may have seem as if the idea originated from the Winklevoss brothers, but lets be real they didn’t have a clue how big their idea was. They were only looking to make themselves even more elite than what they already are. Just as Zuckerberg said to the clerk during the case lunch break “The Winklevoss brothers are suing me because once in their lives something didn’t go as they planned it to.” That was a strong statement because it showed where Zuckerberg came from, nothing. He was driven off his own thoughts and misfortunate, which took him to the TOP! And what’s better than that?
This movie speaks in volumes beyond the fact that The Social Network is the birth of Facebook. It’s is that, but going beyond it’s a story that shows the true intentions of people’s character. One minute you’re invisible to the world, but do something or create something that is needed or wanted by popular demand and you’re the ultimate IT factor. The Social Network is a great movie and I highly recommend people to see it!
The Green Hornet Trailer
The Green Hornet: Heroes With NO Real Purpose.

On my movie meter The Green Hornet scored a 4.5 out of 10.
Normally when you’re a hero you have a mission, a purpose that drives you to do what you do. Also heroes normally work for the good hints why they are titled a HERO. Well all the basics characteristics of a hero get thrown out the window when watching The Green Hornet.
I honestly believed I was going to be in for a treat, seeing Seth Rogen play a serious role allowing him to step out his comfort zone of acting that is mainly comedy. But of course that’s not what I got. Instead I get a comedian superhero, shaping The Green Hornet into a typical Seth Rogen movie such as Knocked Up and .
Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent newspaper empire: The Daily Sentinel and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene. Until his father James Reid (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Britt knows next to nothing about his father’s newspaper company, and without his father to run things he finds himself at a loss with the newspaper company. He doesn’t know manage the employees, meetings, or even how to manage his own goals. After firing almost all his father’s personal servants in the house, he eventually recalls Kato (Jay Chou) only because he makes his coffee the best. After a quick “get to know me” Britt and Kato get drunk together and come up with the idea to visit James Reid’s memorial grave to cut the head off the statue. During their shameful crime they see a couple getting mugged and recue them. After returning home, Britt and Kato are on the news but are being viewed as criminals. Mad about that fact, Britt convinces Kato that the two of them should become crime fighters who pose as criminals in order to catch the real criminals. Kato agrees, taking on the huge task of creating the car and weapons, leaving Britt to create their image (in which he fails). With no real plan or direction they set out to improve the streets. Chudnosky (Christoph Waltz) who is the villain gain knowledge of their act and wants to stop them dead in their tracks, LITERALLY!
Now it may sound like a good plot for a hero movie but the movie goes NO WHERE from there. The movie carries out trying to find purpose for Britt and Kato’s dummy mission. I really felt as if a little kid with a huge imagination came up with the storyline for this movie. Everything seemed so random. At first I felt like the movie was heading for a Batman like plot, seeing Britt lose both his parents and having no one but it completely lost that concept when they go to behead the statue. The comedy really keeps this movie going along with trying to understand what Kato is saying in some scenes. I would’ve probably walked out the theatre had the comedy not been a strong suit in the movie. The fact that Cameron Diaz is in this movie is rather unexpected and pointless. She plays the new secretary hired to work for The Daily Sentinel. The fact that her character is supposed to be the “master mind” behind Britt and Kato’s plan is just down right STUPID! My favorite character by far would have to be Chudnosky or should I say Bloodnosky who is the villain. Chudnosky is having a hard time with his identity and is very sensitive about his image. In his opening scene he’s made fun of because of his out dated clothing and responds by blowing up the club, yes he’s that sensitive.
To some things up I wouldn’t recommend superhero fans to see this movie unless they want to get a few laughs in. But for those who are Seth Rogen fans I’m sure they would love to see him take on the role as a superhero, in his own style.
